The Behavior Analyst (BCBA or BCaBA) plays a critical role in providing behavior consultation services to neurodiverse adults across residential, vocational, and community settings. This position emphasizes high-quality behavioral assessment and intervention, clinical oversight, staff training, advocacy for individual rights, collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, and adherence to Chrysalis’ core values: Respect, Safety, Fun, Mentoring, and Accountability.

The Behavior Analyst works closely with the Clinical Director, Senior Behavior Analysts, Associate Directors, House Managers, Direct Support Staff, and external professionals. This role includes leadership responsibilities, clinical decision-making, mentorship of Behaviorists in Training, and contribution to the overall quality and integrity of behavior services.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, ABA, Special Education, or related field.
  • Current BCBA or BCaBA certification AND licensed (or eligible for licensure) in Nevada.
  • At least 1 year of human services experience.
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current registration and insurance.
  • Willingness to travel to various residential and day service locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct Assessments and Develop Behavior Support Plans:
  • Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs), functional analyses, and ongoing assessments
  • Design, implement, and oversee individualized, evidence-based behavior support plans (BSPs)
  • Analyze behavioral function and ensure interventions are function-based and least restrictive
  • Evaluate effectiveness of interventions and make timely, data-based updates
  • Submit and present plans involving restrictive procedures to HRC/PRC committees
  • Provide documentation and recommendations for psychiatric and interdisciplinary consultations
Staff Training and Treatment Fidelity:
  • Train and coach staff on behavior support plans, skill acquisition programs, and data collection procedures
  • Conduct treatment integrity checks and provide corrective and supportive feedback
  • Support Behaviorists in Training through modeling, mentorship, and clinical guidance
  • Attend and contribute to team, house, and intake meetings to ensure alignment
Measure and Report Progress:
  • Review, analyze, and interpret behavioral data
  • Ensure data systems are accurate, meaningful, and used for decision-making
  • Write progress notes, treatment summaries, and reports with clear clinical analysis
  • Communicate progress and recommendations to interdisciplinary teams and stakeholders
Meet Best Practice Standards:
  • Adhere to BACB Ethics Code and Nevada licensing requirements
  • Ensure all interventions are evidence-based and person-centered
  • Maintain oversight of clinical quality and ensure ethical implementation across cases
  • Ensure proper review and approval processes (HRC/PRC) are followed
Maintain Behavioral Documentation:
  • Ensure all documentation meets company, state, and Medicaid requirements
  • Maintain accurate, timely records across electronic systems and house books
  • Monitor and ensure billing accuracy aligned with services provided
  • Participate in QA processes, audits, and compliance reviews
Advocacy and Empowerment:
  • Advocate for the dignity, autonomy, and rights of individuals served
  • Ensure individual preferences, cultural context, and goals are integrated into treatment
  • Promote self-advocacy, independence, and meaningful life engagement
Collaborative Teamwork:
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Associate Directors, medical professionals, therapists, families, and guardians
  • Act as a clinical leader to ensure consistency, communication, and alignment across teams
  • Participate in intake meetings, psychiatric reviews, and external case consultations
Administrative and Organizational Support:
  • Conduct audits of house books, data systems, and implementation practices
  • Support department initiatives, projects, and process improvements
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
Training and Certifications:
  • Provide supervision and mentorship to Behaviorists in Training (as applicable)
  • Support development of staff competencies and clinical skills
  • Maintain required certifications (CPR, First Aid, OSHA, SOAR)
  • Complete continuing education to maintain licensure and clinical competence
Other Responsibilities:
  • Attend and lead meetings as assigned by Clinical Director or leadership
  • Assist with onboarding, training, and development of new team members
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

  • Strong applied knowledge of ABA principles, ethics, and clinical application
  • Advanced skills in assessment, data analysis, and program development
  • Ability to supervise, mentor, and provide clinical leadership
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data systems
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently while maintaining quality
  • Demonstrates professionalism and sound clinical judgment in complex situations
